In response to a 2007 faculty survey in which Fairhope faculty members stated a strong need for a foreign language curriculum for the lower grades, FEEF is piloting a Spanish language initiative in the 2007-2008 school year.  

A group of first and second grade teachers will pilot the program in its inaugural year with the intent to gradually establish a Spanish curriculum for the K-5 grades.  The widely acclaimed Early Advantage (“Muzzy Amigo”) videos and lesson plans will be incorporated into the daily classroom experience.   

Additionally, FEEF will provide a Spanish language teacher for additional instruction in the classroom on a weekly basis.
