FEEF helped with research and provided support to Fairhope High School as it applied and prepared for the International Baccalaureate Program, which is designed for highly motivated students.  Fairhope High School is now part of this prestigious International Baccalaureate Diploma Program which is designed for students in the final two years of school.

(The International Baccalaureate Organization also offers a Middle Years Program for students in the 11-16 age range and a Primary Years Program for students ages 3 to 12.)

The mission statement reads:
The International Baccalaureate Organization aims to develop inquiring to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the IBO works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programs of international education and rigorous assessment. 

These programs encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.
