The Quail Creek Golf Course
will once again be the site of the Mayor’s Annual Golf Tournament.  The four-player scramble will take place on April 1, with Terry Thompson Chevrolet serving as the Title Sponsor. The tournament will benefit the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation’s (FEEF) After School Tutoring Program, Classroom Grants program and other enrichment programs for Fairhope’s public schools.

The event will kick off with a player reception and dinner on Friday, March 31 catered by Cliff Stapleton. On tournament day, players can register at noon and enjoy a lunch provided by Honey Baked Ham prior to the 1 p.m tee time.

Following the tournament, Wintzell’s Oyster House will serve a seafood buffet. The entry fee also includes all beverages during the tournament, a ditty bag with giveaways, and a free practice round of golf on Friday, March 31. Many door prizes donated by local merchants and restaurants will be awarded. Hole-in-one prizes include a car, a boat, a $20,000 college scholarship and $10,000 cash.

“We are fast out of the starting gates this year, with many sponsors already signed on,” said Jack Burrell, tournament chairman. “We are fortunate to have so many companies, merchants and individuals that want to support Fairhope’s public schools. An investment in our schools is an investment in our community. We also appreciate the City of Fairhope’s support of this event.”  Hole-in-one level sponsors are Gene and Mary Jane Bouchillon. Double Eagle level sponsors are Thomas Hospital and the City of Fairhope. Eagle level sponsors to date include AmSouth, Martin Myrick - Alfa Insurance Agency; Baldwin Bone & Joint; Dr. Chris Bondurant; Bonner, Landreau, Kingrea; Jack and Patti Burrell; Coldwell Banker Reehl Properties; Colonial Bank, Dade Paper; Eastern Shore Children’s Clinic; Eastern Shore Plastic Surgery; First Gulf Bank; First National Bank; The Grand Hotel Marriott Resort; Heritage Compounding Pharmacy; Hutchinson, Moore & Rauch; The Kiwanis Club; Merrill Lynch; Scott Coleman DMD and Miles Jones DMD; Sunbelt Environmental; Glen Glass DMD and Chris McManus DMD; and White-Spunner & Associates.

“To help celebrate FEEF’s 10th anniversary, we decided to introduce a new opportunity for parents who want to recognize their child’s classroom or teacher, coach or counselor with the  ‘Adopt a Classroom or Teacher’ program. For a $150 tax deductible donation, your name or business and the classroom you are adopting will be displayed on a tee sign during the golf tournament,” added Burrell.

Registration forms and sponsorship information are available on the FEEF website at www.feefonline.org or by calling 990-FEEF (3333).
