Mark your calendars now for Phantasy of the Arts, a black-tie gala showcasing regionally and nationally acclaimed visual, performing, and culinary artists. This 2nd annual arts event will take place on Saturday, November 5 from 5:30 p.m. to midnight at the Fairhope Civic Center in Fairhope.
The event is being presented by the Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF) with proceeds going toward construction of the new Fairhope Center for the Arts, a state-of-the-art venue designed for performing, visual, musical, technical and writing arts in Baldwin County.
Phantasy of the Arts chairman Rebecca Byrne and her committee are finalizing performers and artists, who will be announced later this summer. “We are currently inviting a selected number of artists to submit original works for the silent auction component of Phantasy of the Arts. Additionally, we are making preparations for some excellent musical, dance and dramatic performances that evening,” Ms. Byrne said. “As in last year’s event, we’ve invited Chef Ron Koetter, head of the Faulkner State Culinary program, to prepare the hors d’oeuvres and dinner.”
The 45,000 square-foot Center for the Arts, which will be constructed adjacent to Fairhope High School, will include an education wing with eight classrooms for multiple disciplines and a 1,000-seat theater with an orchestra pit. The Center will offer Baldwin County students an invaluable educational experience through an arts-based curriculum, as well as provide a setting for professional and local entertainment.
Invitations for Phantasy of the Arts will be mailed in the fall and tickets are $150 per person. For ticket information, please contact FEEF at 990-3333 or log onto www.fairhopecenterforthearts.org.
