The Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF) has named Heather Cunningham as its new executive director. Ms. Cunningham is replacing Dee Fuhrman, who has served as executive director since 1998 and who is relocating with her family to Salt Lake City.
Ms. Cunningham worked with FEEF for the past year as public relations director. Prior to that, she had her own marketing and public relations business. She has also served as vice president at Dye, Van Mol & Lawrence Public Relations in Nashville and as vice president at Ruder Finn Public Relations in New York City.
The Fairhope Educational Enrichment Foundation (FEEF) was founded in 1996 to promote and enrich educational opportunities for all Fairhope public school students. FEEF created the award-winning $230,000 Pelican’s Nest Science Lab at the Fairhope K-1 Center; has awarded 333 classroom grants totaling $150,400; is contributing $200,000 to fund the Fairhope Center for the Arts drama room; and established an endowment fund – now over $1,300,000 -- to provide perpetual funding for Fairhope public schools.
